Manhattan prosecutors dismissed grand larceny charges against the model ex-wife of World Cup champion Lothar Matthaus arrested in April for allegedly using an old flame’s credit card to buy thousands of dollars in clothes.

Ukrainian stunner Christina Matthaus, 26, was busted after her ex-boyfriend told authorities she didn’t have permission to rack up $5,298.11 in charges to his American Express card between February 15 and February 17.

“It has been a trying time for Ms. Matthaus as not only was she charged with a serious felony for a crime she did not commit, but she also suffered greatly by having the accusation publicized in the media,” said her defense attorney Alex Spiro.

“She is thankful that the truth came out — she was fully exonerated.”

The blond beauty admitted she made the charges but claimed she had permission, according to court records.

She allegedly went on a shopping spree at a Bergdorf Goodman department store in Midtown. She also used the card to fly to Europe with another man, according to law enforcement sources.

Matthaus was married to the German soccer legend in 2008 but the pair became separated in 2010, according to media reports.

Her ex-hubby, 53, is best know for leading the West German national team to victory in to 1990 World Cup.

He was named the first ever FIFA World Player of the Year and European Footballer of the Year. He went on to coach several European teams.
