Cab riders will soon see New York’s first lady on Taxi TV as she helps City Hall urge parents to register kids for pre-kindergarten before the April 23 deadline.
“As a parent, I believe that our children must receive the best education possible as early as possible, and this begins with a high-quality pre-K program,” Chirlane McCray says in the 30-second ad, which also features Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña.
The pitch is part of a larger citywide effort that includes bus posters, robocalls and targeted registration drives, administration officials said.
McCray’s pre-K pitch will also be heard by 311 callers on hold.
