Peter S. Shukat, a founding partner of New York-based entertainment law firm Shukat Arrow Hafer Weber & Herbsman, passed away on Saturday. He was 69.
Shukat personally oversaw the business affairs of some of the most iconic rock and roll estates in music including John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis and Bob Marley.
Shukat was a lecturer on music law at Syracuse University, The New School, Cardozo Law School and The Tulane University School of Law, and was an Adjunct Professor at Brooklyn Law School.
Shukat is survived by wife, Yvette, daughter Jennifer, sons Josh, Michael and Justin. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time.
