Meg Ryan buys Hank Azaria’s $8M Soho luxury loft

Actress Meg Ryan has finally bought a home of her own — an $8 million Soho luxury loft — after years of house-hunting in the city.

The seller was actor Hank Azaria, the voice of Simpsons’ characters such as Moe Szyslak.

The news comes as Ryan’s split with rocker John Mellencamp became public this week, three years after they began dating.

Geography was supposedly an issue in the split — she lives in New York, he prefers Indiana.

Ryan, a 1980s and ’90s icon known for her “America’s sweetheart” roles in classic New York-centric films such as “You’ve Got Mail, “When Harry Met Sally,” and even “Sleepless In Seattle” — previously rented an apartment at 40 Mercer St. designed by starchitect Jean Nouvel.

Ryan’s apartment hunt, as chronicled by The Post, included looking at homes on the Upper West Side and in Tribeca, as well as Soho.

Ryan’s new pad is a 4000-square-foot, full-floor co-op that boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a gym and an “atrium” hall.

Azaria bought the unit for $4.6 million in 2005. Its former owner was artist Cindy Sherman.

The building, which bills itself as the largest co-op in SoHo, was once the site of the Nicholas Hotel in 1853.

Ryan bought the apartment through a trust and was outed as the owner by Variety.

Azaria left Soho for the Upper West Side, where he bought a $9.2 million co-op at 75 Central Park West in May, according to city property records.
