Eli Manning and wife welcome third daughter

PHOENIX — Eli Manning has played in and won two Super Bowls, but even when the Giants have not advanced to the Super Bowl, Manning usually spends a few days at the site of the big game.

But Manning did not make it this year, for a good reason – his wife, Abby, gave birth Thursday to their third daughter.

Caroline Olivia Manning is named in part for Manning’s mother, Olivia.

This makes a full-house backfield for the Mannings.  Their first child, Ava Francis, turns 4 on March 26.  Lucy Thomas, the middle daughter, is 18 months old. The Mannings live in Hoboken, but Manning recently told The Post he is looking to move into the New Jersey suburbs as his family expands. Manning, 34, is entering his 12th season with the Giants.

Manning does not often offer much publicly about his personal life, but he is happy to talk about his love of fatherhood. He once said this about his favorite moment as a father:  “When we have the whole family together, maybe bath time when I have both kids in the bathtub and they start splashing each other and making each other laugh. That usually gives me my biggest smile — when I see both my girls interacting with each other.”

The Mannings are going to need a bigger bathtub.
