400-pound ex-con throws Molotov cocktail at taunter’s home: police

A 400-pound ex-con got revenge on a man who taunted him about his girlfriend and his weight — by throwing a Molotov cocktail at his tormentor’s Queens home, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

Ezra Barashy, 25, crept behind the building on 60th Avenue in Little Neck and allegedly tossed the fiery concoction last Friday at about 6:30 a.m., sources said.

He then allegedly sped off with gal pal Alexandra Flaherty, 23, sources said.

Damage from the flames was not extensive, but heavy smoke caused three people to be hospitalized with minor injuries, officials said. The target of the attack was able to escape unharmed, sources added.

Witnesses told investigators Barashy was pushed over the edge by the intended victim’s insults, which included how his pretty girlfriend was just using him, sources said.

Barashy, who was previously convicted for the drive-by shooting of a judge’s house, was charged with attempted murder, arson and six counts of reckless endangerment, police said. Flaherty was charged with facilitating a crime and arson.

Both were awaiting arraignment in Queens Criminal Court Wednesday.
