Storms delay flights at NY airports

NEW YORK — Thunderstorms producing torrential rain, lightning and hail are delaying flights and disrupting Fourth of July holiday travel at the three major New York City area airports.

The FAA says storms moving through the area Thursday night are holding up flights headed for Newark, La Guardia and Kennedy airports more than 4 hours.
