Sherman wants to ‘choke out’ Crabtree, keep feud going

If Michael Crabtree really is a “sorry receiver,” why can’t Richard Sherman stop talking about him?

In comments he made on The Discovery Channel’s “American Muscle” — debuting Wednesday night — and published by USA Today, Sherman did not sound ready to let his dispute with Crabtree go.

“It’s not going to be something that goes away,” the fiery cornerback said. “I hope to play him every year for the rest of my career and choke him out. There’s not much else I can say about the subject. Nobody will understand it but him and me. That’s all that needs to [be understood].”

In the NFC Championship Game in January, Sherman deflected a ball intended for Crabtree in the end zone, which was then intercepted by Malcolm Smith to seal the win for the Seahawks over the 49ers.

After the game, Sherman unleashed a tirade when interviewed by Erin Andrews, yelling, “I’m the best corner in the game! When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you’re going to get! Don’t you ever talk about me!”
