Jane Fonda: ‘I want to give a cultural face to aging’

Jane Fonda, who will reunite with her “9 to 5” co-star Lily Tomlin for the Netflix series “Grace & Frankie,” stopped by Anna Sale’s “Death, Sex & Money” podcast on WNYC Wednesday to talk about the show.

“I want to give a cultural face to aging,” said Fonda, 76. “I want to show older women … their attitude is, ‘Hey kiddo, it ain’t over ’til I say it’s over.’ And I love [that] it starts at a time when the rug has been pulled out from under these two women and they are unmoored. They’re not young anymore. They’re old. And Lily and I are best buds, so we’re just gonna have a good time.”

The half-hour series, from “Friends” co-creator Marta Kauffman, will now also include Martin Sheen, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
