The ruthless Romeo approached the victim in the lobby of an apartment building on 171st Street in Jamaica at 5:15 a.m., Oct. 1, and tried to strike up a conversation, police said.
Investigators said the persistent goon then asked the 26-year-old out on a date, but the uninterested woman declined and turned to walk away.
The scorned thug flew into a rage, grabbing the woman from behind and slashing her neck with a blade before running off, authorities said.
First responders rushed the victim to an area hospital in critical condition, but she is expected to survive the brutal assault.
The suspect, believed to be 20-years-old, stands 6-feet tall and weighs 180 pounds.
He has brown eyes, short black hair, and was last seen wearing a light-colored hoodie, jeans, and black sneakers.
