Where did it all go wrong for Rob Kardashian?

It’s been clear for some time now that not all is well with Rob Kardashian.

By his own admission, he’s overweight and unfit, but now almost every week there’s a new headline suggesting he’s either depressed, alienating himself from family or turning to drugs.

Even his mother, Kris Jenner, who glosses over every negative Kardashian story with her never-ending PR spin, has admitted he is struggling.

“Rob’s working on himself,” she told the “Today” show just days ago. “He’s going to be okay.

“Rob’s living in LA right now and he’s doing well, finding out what makes him tick and struggling with some stuff … my job is to be there for him.”

Now his sister Khloe has also hinted he has distanced himself from his famous family, sharing a picture on social media of the pair yesterday with the caption: “I miss my best friend @robkardashian.”

The pair’s comments come after the 27-year-old sadly fled France before Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding after a huge bust-up with his loved ones.

Rob was reportedly upset that his weight had ballooned in the last year and was too embarrassed to pose for photos.

Other sources suggest he refused to wear a Valentino suit to a visit at the clothing designer’s sprawling estate in France because he couldn’t fit into it.

It’s clear Rob doesn’t feel comfortable around his glamorous and image-obsessed family.

So where did it all go wrong for the lone male member of the Kardashian clan?

Close friends reportedly suggest that his self-confidence was severely knocked after his very public breakup with Rita Ora in December 2012.

“She cheated on me with nearly 20 dudes while we were together … But I mean 20?!!!!” he tweeted at the time.

“How can a woman who is so busy trying to start her own career have time to be with so many dudes while in a relationship?! I am actually disgusted.”

But in March 2013, Ora said she didn’t realize the pair were in a relationship, which cut even deeper.

Rob struggled after the breakup, admitting on an episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” that the heartbreak caused him to pile on the pounds.

“It’s crazy how this whole year, my whole relationship was only negative, all I did was gain f–king 40 pounds and lose so much money,’” he said.

In April the same year, when asked about his weight gain on an E! News special with the Kardashian family, he said: “Every time I hop in the shower and see myself naked, I cry. My penis looks so small now. The upside is every time you lose 10 pounds, you gain an inch on your penis,” he joked.

In May this year, after rumors of his admission to fat camp were circulated, the tormented sock designer tweeted: “So I found out I was trending for being fat … thank you all it really made my day. And to the blogs saying I went to fat camp or rehab LOL then why am I still fat u fools?? y’all must have run out of real news.”

Add to that this week’s story that Rob has been self-medicating with strong prescription painkillers, doing heavy drugs and taking Sizzurp (a combination with prescription-strength cough syrup) and it’s clear he needs support.

“He’d just lie around his place smoking weed, doing drugs, watching movies and eating,” a close friend told InTouch. “He said he ‘needed’ the pills.”

While Rob has largely withdrawn from public life of late, restricting his appearances on “KUWtK,” hopefully things are heading up.

Celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson has confirmed Rob reached out to him the day he flew back from France to help him get back in shape.

And for now, he’s overseeing the redevelopment of sister Khloe’s house while she films “Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons.”
