Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks show returns to East River

Brooklyn and Queens rejoice — the famous Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks show is coming back to the East River, the store is set to announce at a press conference on Monday, sources said.

The move will bring the dazzling performance back after it was moved to the Hudson River in 2009.

The display is expected to rotate between the two locations, but exact details were not yet available.

Mayor Bill de Blasio has long been a supporter of taking the fireworks show back to the outer boroughs.

“It’s time the city put the fireworks where the most New Yorkers can actually enjoy them,” he said last July.

The Mayor’s Office declined comment when asked about the fireworks show.
