Damon Dash Jr. pleads guilty to harassing girlfriend

The son of former Roc-A-Fella records music mogul, Damon Dash, pleaded guilty to harassment Tuesday for allegedly strangling his girlfriend in Chelsea last year.

Damon “Boogie” Dash, 22, was originally charged with misdemeanor assault and strangulation for allegedly squeezing his girlfriend’s neck as they argued on Sept. 22 in his West 16th Street apartment.

Dash completed a 12-week anger management course and copped to the violation as part of a plea deal.

“The sentence of the court is a conditional discharge under the condition you stay out of trouble for one year,” Judge Diane Boyar told Dash Tuesday in Manhattan Criminal Court.

She also issued a two-year limited order of protection. “You can have contact with the complainant but you cannot assault or harass her,” the judge said.

Dash said he’s still dating the young woman who called the cops on him.

“She came to his apartment uninvited and crashed a party,” said his defense lawyer Gregg Pinto. “Then she picked a fight with him and wouldn’t leave when she was repeatedly told to. She then got violent.”

Dash climbed on top of her and “placed both of [his] hands around [her] neck and squeezed tightly,” to the point where she had trouble breathing, according to the complaint against him.

“He did get physically violent with her,” the source added. “She suffered bruises, a black eye and a cut lip.” Her neck was left with red marks, the complaint alleges.

Dash Jr. has had one previous arrest but details of that case have been sealed.

His dad has also been a regular in Manhattan’s courtrooms in recent years for paternity and creditor lawsuits.

Dash said he’s happy that his case is finished and he can now focus on his budding cookie career.

He and high school pal Luke Pascal founded Chipz Cookies, which are sold in grocery stores throughout Manhattan. Next month, they plan to open their first store, he said.

“He’s a young entrepreneur. The last thing he needs is a criminal record,” Pinto added.
