Plastic surgeon sentenced for fatal liposuction

A plastic surgeon who pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide last month in the death of a former model following a botched liposuction was sentenced Tuesday to two months behind bars.

Dr. Oleg Davie, 53, also falsified the medical forms of his gorgeous victim, Isel Pineda, 51, to cover up his recklessness in operating on her despite her heart condition.

“He accepted responsibility for the matter that brought him before the court,” defense attorney James DiPietro said in court. “He exhibited to me and others substantial remorse.”

Davie will also face five years probation when he gets out of jail, Brooklyn Supreme Court judge Danny Chun said.

He already surrendered his medical license.

Davie disregarded the medical form on which the 5-foot-9, 130-pound Pineda had written that she’d undergone a heart transplant in 2004 — performed by TV’s Dr. Oz.

He also falsified the document after she collapsed in his Brooklyn office after the 2012 surgery – taking out the line where she told him about the transplant, prosecutors said when Davie was arrested in March 2013.

Last year her ex-husband, Jeffrey Mayer said, “She was stunning. She would walk into a room and the music would stop.”
