LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian dis their exes in new reality series

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are getting ready to serve a hot plate of revenge on their new VH1 reality show “LeAnn & Eddie,” premiering next month. The network released a full-length trailer on Tuesday; in it the country music star gleefully slings mud at her husband’s ex, Brandi Glanville.

In a confessional-style sit-down with her husband at her side, Rimes admits their relationship “didn’t start off like she had planned.” The very married 31-year-old fell in love with her equally betrothed co-star on the set of their Lifetime movie, “Northern Lights.” Even with photographic evidence plastered on the pages of tabloids, the cheating duo denied their scandalous affair.

Although the story tainted her wholesome image as America’s sweetheart, they divorced their spouses to be together.

A surprisingly candid Cibrian, 40, backs his wife up, “We were both married when we fell in love,” he says. “Was it the best way to start off? Of course not, but it happened.”

The pair attempt to grant spectators an authentic view of their complicated relationship. They’re filmed attending movie premieres, bowling, and lounging around the house. In conversation, they take cheap shots at bloggers, the paparazzi, and their exes.

One scene shows Cibrian receiving a text message while riding in a car with Rimes. He tells her Glanville, one of the stars of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” sent the text and Rimes socks him in the arm. the singer calls Glanville an alcoholic and suggests she go to rehab.

But the biggest issue on the show seems to be Rimes’ desire to have a family. She’s already stepmom to Cibrian’s two sons with Glanville, Mason, 11, and 7-year-old, Jake, but it’s obvious she wants a child of her own. Being a “miracle baby,” Rimes fears facing the same uncertainty as her mom did. Rimes and Cibrian discuss having a baby, and of course the actor wants to put that project on hold.

All the drama will unfold on Thursday, July 17 at 10:30 p.m. EST on VH1.
