Lauren Lake returning to TV this fall

Lauren Lake returns this fall with a re-branded TV show, a new timeslot in New York and a new production home.

Lake’s show, which was called “Paternity Court” last season, returns as “Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court” for its second go-round in syndication. The Orion TV-produced show, which currently airs at 3 p.m., moves to 1 p.m. on CBS-owned Ch. 55 this fall. It was the station’s top-rated show in households in May (including its 6 a.m. repeat).

It also moved its production from LA to Atlanta for the upcoming season.

Executive producer David Armour says the show will focus more this season on the “emotions” involved in the paternity cases, on the participants’ back stories and on helping families “find closure so they can move forward with their lives.” (The show uses DNA testing to help litigants resolve legal issues.)

Lake, by the way, is a legal and relationship expert with a law degree from Wayne State University. She’s dispensed advice on numerous shows including “The View,” “Dr. Phil,” NBC’s “Today” and HLN’s “Nancy Grace.”

Here’s your Chance

Chance Kelly’s dance card is filling up quickly these days.

The Westchester-born actor (“Generation Kill,” “Fringe”) will be seen in TNT’s “Legends,” which premieres Aug. 13 and stars Sean Bean as Martin Odum, a CIA agent who changes his physical appearance for each case he tackles. It’s co-developed by “24”/“Homeland” maven Howard Gordon and is based on Robert Littell’s best-seller. Kelly plays Jason Shaw, who butts heads with Odum. The series co-stars Amber Valletta, Steve Harris, Tina Majorino, Ali Larter and Morris Chestnut.

Kelly also snared a recurring role in NBC’s new midseason series, “Aquarius,” starring David Duchovny as an LAPD cop circa 1967 who encounters future murderer Charles Manson (it’s expected to premiere early next year). He’s also appearing on the big screen in the upcoming movie “American Sniper,” directed by Clint Eastwood.
