Cops search for missing bank courier

An upstate New York bank courier who was in severe debt disappeared last week after he had a brief phone conversation with his wife, sources familiar with the case told The Post.

Raymond Locascio

Detectives are now investigating whether 62-year-old Raymond Locascio ended his own life in a lake in Harriman State Park in Rockland County, sources said.

“Police dogs were called in and his scent ended in the woods near the lake,” said one source familiar with the investigation.

The source added that Locascio’s house was in foreclosure and he owed money to the bank and possibly other individuals.

Foul play is not suspected, sources said.

Locascio vanished at 2:30 p.m. July 8 after he dropped off his wife, Barbara, at her brother-in-law’s house in Monroe, NY.

He then drove to work in Peekskill, but never made it there. Later that afternoon, around 3:30 p.m., he chatted briefly with his wife over the phone, sources said.

No one has heard from him since.

Two days later, his mint green 2006 Ford Taurus was found in a parking lot of Harriman State Park.

Locascio is 5 feet 10 and 200 pounds with grayish hair. He was last seen wearing glasses, a blue and black hat, a navy blue shirt with a beaver logo on it, jean shorts and tan loafers.
