Decker, Ivory among Jets on sideline vs. Bengals

CINCINNATI – The Jets were without several key offensive players in Saturday night’s preseason game with the Bengals.

Wide receiver Eric Decker, running back Chris Ivory and tight end Jeff Cumberland were all held out of the game with injuries. Decker is nursing a quad injury that has kept him out of practice.

He met with general manager John Idzik, a team doctor and the head trainer on the field about 90 minutes before kickoff, and it appeared they told him he would not be playing.

Ivory injured his ribs against the Colts last week and has been limited in practice. Cumberland left practice Tuesday with tightness in his left Achilles tendon.

On defense, the Jets were without starting cornerbacks Dee Milliner and Dimitri Patterson.

Milliner suffered a high ankle sprain last Sunday and is out for 3-4 weeks. Patterson has multiple leg injuries and has been out of practice for more than a week.

The other players who did not dress for the game: WR Shaq Evans (shoulder), OT Marcus Zusevics (knee), CB Dexter McDougle (knee) and WR Jalen Saunders, who had a car accident on Friday.
