Cop-killer was loaded with cash when he executed two officers

Crazed cop-killer Ismaaiyl Brinsley was loaded with cash when he executed two Brooklyn officers over the weekend, New York’s top cop said Tuesday.

NYPD detectives are hot on Brinsley’s money trail after investigators found $100 bills on the bloodthirsty lunatic, who gunned down Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu as they sat in their patrol car. Brinsley killed himself minutes after the murders.

Commissioner Bill Bratton said investigators are furiously following the money to find where the unemployed Brinsley got his all Benjamins.

“Where did he get his money, who does he hang out with? (Brinsley) doesn’t seem to have been employed,” Bratton told CBS’s “This Morning.”

“He’s a couch crasher, as they call it. He doesn’t seem to have a residence, he just crashes on somebody’s couch.”

New York’s top cop added: “But he seems to have had money — cash in $100 bills. So we’re checking very closely all of his relationships. What was his world like?”

Bratton continued to walk a tightrope, sticking up for rank-and-file police and his boss, Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Police union officials have lashed out at de Blasio for his support of New York protesters, angered by the killings of Eric Garner and Michael Brown by police officers earlier this year.

“We’re in a very difficult place at the moment in that regard,” Bratton said. “In the sense of officers feeling about demonstrations about the anti-police mood that seems to be sweeping the country of late. It’s not easy being a cop in America today.”
