A brute bashed a 54-year-old woman’s head into a metal pole on the L train after she came to a child’s defense, cops said.

The suspect’s girlfriend slapped a kid traveling with them on the Manhattan-bound train through Williamsburg on July 26, causing another straphanger to admonish the woman, police said.

The suspect then bashed the older woman’s head into a pole and threw her to the ground before getting off the train, cops added.

The victim suffered bruises and swelling.

The suspect is believed to be about 30 years old.


Two suspects are wanted for four terrifying gunpoint jewelry snatchings in Flatlands, police said.

The duo began their spree on July 10 at about 3:15 p.m. when they pulled a gun on a 60-year-old man and grabbed his $500 chain in front of a home on Schenectady Avenue near Flatlands Avenue, cops said.

On the evening of July 23, they targeted a 53-year-old man at the corner of Avenue M and Utica Avenue and made off with two chains worth $200, cops said.

The thieves took a $3,500 bracelet from a 40-year-old man on East 45th Street, near Avenue K, on Aug. 5, according to police.

In their most recent robbery on Aug. 6, they stuck up two 57-year-old women and a 62-year-old man on an East 49th Street stoop and got away with three bracelets and two necklaces, cops added.

No injuries were reported.


A dead man washed ashore near the Williamsburg Bridge on Thursday, cops said.

The victim, believed to be in his 30s or 40s, was spotted off Kent Street just before 8 a.m., according to police.

Cops have not yet been able to identify him.

There were no immediate signs of trauma and the medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death, cops said.

Queens

A lifeguard was groped by a 51-year-old man at Rockaway Beach, cops said.

The 25-year-old woman had just finished a routine exercise drill near 116th Street and Beach Channel Drive at 10 a.m. Wednesday when the alleged perv approached, police said.

Terrell Webb, who lives nearby, grabbed the woman’s arm, groped her below her waist and fled, cops said.

Webb was charged with forcible touching and has prior arrests for disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental justice, cops said.


Police are looking for a suspect who stabbed a man to death in Jackson Heights.

Fabian Carreno, 30, of Roosevelt Avenue, was found on the sidewalk amid a pool of blood with stab wounds to the face and neck on 97th Street and Northern Boulevard on Aug. 3 at about 2:15 a.m., cops said.

Police said the attacker was caught on camera fighting with the victim moments before leaving.

He then returned with two pals and fatally stabbed Carreno, cops said.

Police said they do not know the motive for the deadly fight.

Manhattan

A crazed man in the Meatpacking District tried to stop his car from being towed by jumping behind the wheel and backing off the tow truck, police sources said.

Joseph Safdieh, 56, saw an NYPD traffic agent having his car towed at the corner of Washington and Gansevoort streets on Aug. 6 at about 8:30 a.m. He ran toward the car after it was pulled onto the tow truck bed, sources said.

Safdieh climbed inside and drove the vehicle off the truck bed, sources said.

The traffic agent radioed for assistance and police arrived immediately to arrest Safdieh for obstruction of government administration.


A fight among workers boiled over in a Garment District restaurant kitchen and one of the employees was pummeled with a knife sharpener, sources said.

The 25-year-old victim got into an argument with a co-worker at the Cafe Del Sol on Seventh Avenue near West 36th Street Sunday at about 4:30 p.m., sources said.

One irate employee picked up a metal knife sharpener and struck his co-worker in the head several times and then fled, sources said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue for treatment and the attacker has not been arrested.
