‘Mob Wives’ star sobs in court over embezzling charges

Former “Mob Wives” vixen Alicia DiMichele turned on the tears at her embezzlement sentencing Thursday and was given four years probation by a sympathetic Brooklyn federal judge.

The statuesque stunner sobbed as she apologized for helping her mobbed up husband, Colombo goon Edward “Tall Guy” Garofalo skim union pension funds through a trucking company they ran together between 2003 and 2005.

“I was a bookkeeper for DM Trucking and prepared invoices and paperwork with the knowledge that they were false,” DiMichele told the court before breaking down into tears.

“I knew my husband and his partners were doing something wrong but I didn’t do anything to stop it,” she said while dabbing at her watering eyes with a tissue. “This is not who I am and I can’t tell you how embarrassed I am to be here.”

DiMichele, who has three children, said she regretted stealing from workers who needed their pension money.

“I know my actions hurt some real people,” she said. “I wish I could turn back the clock but I can’t.”

Prosecutor Nicole Argentieri told the court that a non-jail sentence was appropriate in the case and suggested that DiMichele was heavily influenced by her crooked spouse at the time.

Judge Sandra Townes could have sent her to the clink for 6 months but opted for leniency after noting her clean recent record and obligations to her children.

But the jurist warned DiMichele that any further criminality would automatically land her behind bars. “Ms. DiMichele, I don’t want to see you here again,” she warned.

DiMichele – who resigned from the show during her lengthy court battle – still runs a boutique and was ordered to pay $40,000 in restitution.

Dressed in an all black ensemble – including a hip-hugging miniskirt – the raven-haired former reality show star wouldn’t comment as she left court with her brother.

Garofalo was sentenced to seven years in jail for extortion, witness tampering and murder conspiracy last December.
