Biker going 130mph with a pound of cocaine busted in statewide crackdown

State troopers busted more than 25,000 drivers in two crackdowns this month targeting speeders and distracted motorists — including a Bronx biker going 130 mph with more than a pound of cocaine on him, authorities said Tuesday.

Police tried to pull over Carlos Sued for speeding on his sports bike in upstate Bethlehem on April 23, but he accelerated faster, weaving in and out of traffic, authorities said.

He then lost control of his 2011 Yamaha as he tried to make a U-turn, they said. The bike fell over, and he allegedly fled on foot.

Police nabbed him shortly after and took him into custody—and found one and a half pounds of cocaine on him, officials said.

Troopers also gave out nearly 3,500 tickets for distracted driving between April 10 and 15—including 1,156 tickets for texting while driving.

“We are committed to curbing this reckless behavior and will continue to crack down on drivers who put the lives of their fellow motorists at risk,” Gov. Cuomo, who launched the initiatives, said in a statement.

Other summonses were slapped on drivers chatting on the phone behind the wheel.

During the second ticket blitz April 17 to April 24 , police nailed 10,890 speeders and issued 13,644 other traffic violations, too.

One of the offenders was James J. Bookman, Jr., 25, of Bridgeport, Conn., who was pulled over for speeding in New Baltimore, authorities said.

He initially gave Troopers a fake name. When police learned of his real identity, they found out he didn’t have a license — and that his driver’s license had been suspended 42 times since he started driving.
