WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A Florida woman who police say killed her two teenage children in January before killing herself had left a note expressing sorrow for what was to happen.
A newly released autopsy report in the case of 48-year-old Jennifer Berman confirmed she shot both her 15-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son in their heads with a rifle, before turning the gun on herself.
Investigators say two open bottles of wine were found on Berman’s kitchen table with a note that said “I am sorry to those that are hurting because they loved us.” The Palm Beach Post reports that the full note was not released.
