Fisher hires former Oklahoma City assistant Brian Keefe

Knicks rookie head coach Derek Fisher has added a second assistant from his former Oklahoma City squad, Brian Keefe, according to an NBA source.

Keefe has been with the Thunder for seven seasons – five as an assistant, working under Scott Brooks. During his first two years with Oklahoma City, Keefe served as a player development coach.

Already on the staff is associate head coach Kurt Rambis, former Lakers assistant Rasheed Hazzard and former OKC assistant Joshua Longstaff.

Fisher wants to add one more assistant and there’s been talks with Jim Cleamons, who was fired as a Bucks assistant amid the Jason Kidd mess. Ex-Laker Rick Fox, who interviewed for the head job, told The Post he was not considered for an assistant position with Fisher.

Keefe, who played at UC Irvine, also worked for the Spurs from 2005-2007 as a video coordinator. Prior to joining the Spurs, Keefe was an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Bryant University in Rhode Island.
