iPhone selfie thief turns himself in

A selfie-taking thief who stole a teen’s iPhone — and then sent pictures and dirty texts to the victim’s mother — was busted on Saturday, police said.

Fethi Nekrouf, 18, turned himself in for allegedly stealing 14-year-old James Pugliatti’s cellphone at a nightclub in Midtown on April 17, according to police.

Cops say Nekrouf and a friend grabbed Pugliatti’s iPhone 5 while they were partying at an under-18 event at Stage 48.

The cell-stealing duo then snapped a selfie of themselves on the subway and used the messaging app Snapchat to send it to Pugliatti’s high-school friends.

One pal sent the pic to Pugliatti’s mother, who also received a sext message allegedly from the dopey duo, authorities said.

That prompted her to go to police with the thieves’ selfie on April 27.

Nekrouf was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Police said he turned himself in Saturday, the same day that The Post published his incriminating selfie.

The second selfie-taking thief was still on the loose Saturday.
