Knicks to hold weeklong training camp at West Point

The Knicks announced they will hold training camp at West Point’s Christl Arena, home of Army basketball.

The Derek Fisher-led Knicks will start camp at West Point on Sept. 30 and end it Oct. 4. Team USA’s World Cup team practiced there last month under the direction of Mike Krzyzewski.

The last time the Knicks went away from their Tarrytown facility occurred during the Donnie Walsh era when they trained at Skidmore College in Saratoga for two years.

Previously, the Knicks had a long stint in Charleston, S.C., initiated by coach Pat Riley. The Knicks last held camp at West Point in 1966.
