An adorable Florida piglet, born without the use of his hind legs, got a second chance at life — thanks to a creative veterinarian.
Taking a page right out of the children’s classic “Charlotte’s Web,” the disabled piggy was on the chopping block when Dr. Len Lucero swooped in and saved the little guy, making him a special wheelchair to help him get around.
The piglet, known as Chris P. Bacon, is one of the animals that will be featured in an episode of the PBS show “Nature” titled “My Bionic Pet.”
Bacon’s custom wheels were made out of K’Nex blocks, a children’s building toy similar to Legos.
Lucero posted a video of his new pal using the wheelchair to YouTube last year, where it quickly went viral. It currently has more than 1.8 million views.
The “Nature” episode will air Wednesday at 8 p.m.
