NJ farm — not aliens — carves corn maze in Jeter’s honor

This one’s sure to get Derek Jeter’s ear.

A farm in South Brunswick, N.J., saluted the retiring captain by etching Jeter’s likeness into a five-acre corn maze, complete with the message: “Von Thun Farms Thanks Captain Clutch.”

It’s only the latest grandiose homage for Von Thun Farms, which also paid tribute to Rutgers football’s “Keep Choppin’ ” slogan in 2010.

On its Facebook page, the country farm market uploaded the picture, writing, “Here it is…announcing our 2014 fall corn maze theme… a tribute to Derek Jeter!! We would love to know what our Jeter fans think about this 5+ acre maze!!”

Captain Clutch, in the farm’s nomenclature, has to be impressed, even as others tip their caps to him and give him some presidential treatment.

If ever you wanted to get lost in Jeter’s eyes, we suppose now is the time.
