Have the Nets called Andray Blatche? Um … ‘no’

Don’t expect the Nets to re-sign big man Andray Blatche.

During his press conference Tuesday morning to address the departure of coach Jason Kidd to hold the same position with the Bucks, King said he had reached out to Paul Pierce, Shaun Livingston and Alan Anderson and expressed an interest in retaining them.

King was then asked if he had reached out to Blatche to voice any interest in bringing him back.

“No,” King said.

Blatche has spent the past two seasons with the Nets after being released via the amnesty provision in the collective bargaining agreement by the Wizards in 2012. Blatche averaged 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 2012-13, and 11.2 points and 5.3 rebounds last season.

He recently became a Filipino citizen in order to play for their national team this fall in Spain in the FIBA World Cup of Basketball.
