The Giants won’t be getting any snacks on “Hard Knocks” this year.
An NFL source told The Post on Wednesday that Big Blue will not be required to participate in the NFL Films-produced reality show because several other teams already have volunteered.
The league instituted a rule this year that teams that had missed the playoffs each of the previous two years and didn’t have a new coach could be forced to star in the popular series against their will.
The Giants fit that requirement, but the league source said enough clubs were open to being filmed throughout training camp and the preseason that Tom Coughlin’s team would get to beg off — for this year, at least. The Giants, however, uncharacteristically agreed to allow cameras in their war room during this week’s NFL Draft, so they won’t be able to escape the league’s reality push altogether.
The league source said a decision on the identity of this year’s “Hard Knocks” team most likely would be made in June. The Bengals were featured for the second time last year.
