Eli Manning normally comes off as quiet and reserved, but on Friday he showed fans a bit of color, participating in a Reddit Q&A — or AMA (Ask Me Anything), in Reddit lingo.
One of Manning’s best answers came when somebody asked if he had ever been starstruck. After deliberating for a while, Manning said, “I asked K-Fed [Kevin Federline, the ex-husband of Britney Spears] for a picture one time. That’s the only person I’ve ever asked for a picture, Kevin Federline.”
Among the highlights of the AMA:
- He’s a big fan of ‘N Sync. A reader asked him if he preferred the group or the Backstreet Boys, and his emphatic answer was, ” ‘N Sync. For sure.”
- He apparently is unaware of the Wu Tang Clan, as after a reader asked if he could throw up the Wu-Tang sign after a touchdown, he replied, “What is the Wu-Tang sign?”
- He likes chicken and light beer, as he said his favorite beer is Bud Light and that he had a chicken gyro for lunch, along with having a dinner of chicken Parmesan planned.
- He joked around with a Redditor who asked him if Tom Brady was “seriously” that “dreamy,” replying, “He’s pretty good lookin’.”
- He refused to take the bait when a reader asked, “Be honest, Ben Roethlisberger is as creepy as we think he is, right?” Eli responded, “He’s a good quarterback with two [Super Bowl] rings.”
