A serial robber has a sweet tooth for stealing dental equipment.
Police are looking for a man who stole about $65,000 worth of equipment from two different Brooklyn dental offices in late June, cops said.
The bandit made off with two whitening lasers, a root- canal locator, two digital X-ray sensors, three polishing kits and a slew of scrapers used to remove plaque.
“We don’t know if this guy means to pawn this equipment or what,” a police source told The Post. “He made off with enough dental equipment to open his own practice.”
On June 21, the thief broke into a Glenwood Road dentist’s office and ran off with $58,600 worth of equipment. He hit up another office on Kings Highway two days later, stealing a laptop and $160 in cash.
Video surveillance from both locations spotted the looter, who is described as a black male with a goatee and long braids in a pony tail. Police were still looking for the suspect.
In the first robbery, the man’s face was barely visible in pixilated black-and- white images, but he was caught on video more clearly in his second job.
The robber appeared care-free as he searched the empty dental office wearing a white graphic T-shirt with gray shorts and black shoes.
