Way too close for comfort!
The gut-wrenching moment when two planes nearly collided at a Barcelona airport on Saturday has been captured on video.
The shocking footage shows a UTair Boeing 767 from Russia as it is about to land.
At the exact same time, an Aerolineas Argentinas Airbus A340 bound for Buenos Aires can be seen as it crosses the runway.
Luckily, the Boeing pilots manage to spot the massive Airbus below, and barely pull up in time to escape the impending catastrophe.
After carrying out an emergency “go-around” procedure, the pilots were able to safely land the plane. The Airbus was also able to later take off without any problems.
YouTube user Miguel Angel caught the entire thing on video and posted it on Sunday, where it’s already been viewed more than 3 million times.
Spanish authorities released a statement saying there had never been any risk of a collision because there was enough space to accommodate both planes on the runway.
