Baby Belugas in the deep blue sea!

A group of young Beluga whales smiled big for cameras as they enjoyed a playful day in the ocean with some divers, Barcroft reports.

The six baby Belugas were swimming wild and free as 42-year-old photographer Andrey Nekrasov and his diving instructor Anna Evseeva joined in on the spectacular horseplay.

“The water was muddy, so we heard them talking to one another before we could see them,” Nekrasov said. “We managed to get very close as the whales are very young and curious.”

Stunning photos show the inquisitive little white whales on the go as they majestically twist and turn their bodies in the Peter the Great Gulf, near Vladivostok, Russia.

“It is very rare to be able to see them playing in their natural habitat,” Nekrasov added. “They are very sociable and they talk a lot to one another.”

Belugas are known for their distinct vocal expressions, giving them an interesting reputation among whale lovers.

“It sounds like they are singing, that’s why their nick-name is sea canaries.”
