Astorino kept away from Obama during bridge speech

Aides to Gov. Cuomo put his GOP opponent, Rob Astorino, in the nosebleed seats for President Obama’s event at the Tappan Zee Bridge, Astorino’s team charged Wednesday.

Justr as Cuomo was hailing the new $3.9 billion project under construction as a “bridge to bipartisanship,” Astorino — who as Westchester County executive governs one side of the bridge — was making his way toward the bank of seats reserved for officials.

“The White House rep that we were dealing with said that Rob had a seat in the first three rows,” Astorino adviser Phil Oliva said, noting that the official grabbed a folding chair and indicated Astorino could sit up front in an aisle.

But then Cuomo regional representative Aimee Vargas intervened, Oliva said.

“Next thing I know, the White House person said there’s no room,” Oliva told The Post. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Astorino had to stand in the back, even as Democrats, including Reps. Nita Lowey, Eliot Engel and Jerold Nadler, Assemblyman Keith Wright, and the mayors of Yonkers and New Rochelle sat up front.

Staffers in Cuomo’s office insisted they had nothing to do with the seating.

Obama was in town to hail the bridge-replacement project, while raising campaign cash in the city.
