Bratton to survey police, public about reactions to NYPD

Top cop Bill Bratton said Friday he wants to get feedback on the NYPD’s job performance from both street cops and members of the public.

The commissioner said the first survey of the Police Department’s 50,000 employees will likely be sent out within the next month.

Bratton is also seeking funding to conduct an ambitious survey of the public.

“We are in the process . . . of designing a polling mechanism that could be utilized in every precinct in the city on a quarterly basis to basically say, ‘How are we doing?’ ” Bratton said at a law-enforcement event in Midtown.
