Doctor could lose license for sexting during surgery

A horny Dr. Feelgood will likely lose his license for allegedly sexting during surgery, improperly dishing out meds and hooking up with a patient.

Dr. Arthur K. Zilberstein “frequently exchanged sexually explicit texts during surgeries when he was the responsible anesthesiologist; improperly accessed medical-record imaging for sexual gratification; and had sexual encounters at his workplace,” according to a complaint filed by the Medical Quality Assurance Commission in Washington state.

The surgical sexting allegedly unfolded between August of last year and this past April at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle.

And when the anesthesiologist wasn’t getting sexy during surgeries, he was allegedly giving pills to patients without thoroughly examining their need for the meds.

Zilberstein was even having “sexual relations with one patient for whom he was prescribing drugs,” the Health Department charged.

The doctor’s bedside manner with that same patient included snapping and sending a shot of himself in “hospital scrubs, wearing his hospital badge, and exposing his genitals,” according to the complaint.

And on top of all the medically questionable moves, Zilberstein has been accused of lying to investigators and making bigoted statements.

“During the investigation, it was found that Zilberstein made disparaging and racist remarks against a patient and misrepresented his work schedule to an investigator,” the Health Department said.

Zilberstein has three weeks to respond to allegations and cannot practice medicine in Washington while charges are pending.

In a statement from Swedish Medical Center, Zilberstein’s bosses said they were shocked by the allegations.

“The safety of our patients is our No. 1 priority,” the hospital said.
