‘American Horror Story’ heads to the ‘Freak Show’

Bring on the freaks – the next “American Horror Story” will be titled “Freak Show.”

Co-creator Ryan Murphy announced the season four news on Twitter Monday, following reports last week that the next iteration of the FX anthology drama would be set at a carnival.

Other details about the upcoming season are being kept under wraps, but Entertainment Weekly reports that Jessica Lange – who has been in the prior three seasons of “AHS” – will return to the cast, playing a German expat managing one of the last freak shows in the US in 1950s Florida.

Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett and Frances Conroy are also returning, playing performers whom Lange’s character has rescued, according to EW. Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are reportedly in talks to return.
