Jerry Jones breaks silence on racy photos

Now this is what you call a lackluster defense.

Married Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, asked about a series of sexy snapshots showing him in compromising positions with two Texas strippers, says he was “misrepresented’’ in the photos.

“Someone has misrepresented photos taken at a restaurant five years ago for their own purposes,” Jones told the Dallas Morning News when asked if the pixelated images were part of a possible extortion plot against him. “I’m just not going to comment on it.’’

Jones said he previously refused to comment on the scandal after it broke last week because of a “cold’’ he was suffering from — and which still prevented him from answering more questions about the racy photos.

The billionaire refused to say why he was cupping the clothed breasts of one blond exotic dancer or holding the head of another stripper near his crotch.

“Again, that’s all I’ll like to get into,” Jones said.

But Jones did address another controversy hovering around his lightning-rod franchise.

Video showing his son, Stephen, the Cowboys’ executive vice president, on a party bus in Los Angeles with the NFL’s head of officiating, Dean Blandino, sparked fears from other executives around the league of a conflict of interest.

“I just don’t have a problem with it at all, and I don’t deem it inappropriate at all,’’ Jones said.
