Rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s widow in court fight for ‘lost recordings’

The widow of rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard has subpoenaed the former landlord of hip-hop mogul Damon Dash, believing Dash left the masters for an unreleased ODB album in his rented summer home.

Icelene Jones, who was married to the Staten Island rapper, born Russell Jones, is asking landlord Elad Yoran for the recording, titled “A Son Unique,” after Dash refused to turn it over, the recent subpoena says.

The Brooklyn Surrogate’s Court filing comes as ODB’s group, the Wu-Tang Clan, is expected to reap up to $5 million for a single copy of a separate 31-song album.

The legendary rap group was in the news this week after an affiliated rapper cut off his own penis before leaping from a second-story balcony in an apparent suicide attempt, cops said.

Yoran confiscated Dash’s belongings — including a bong, art and jewelry — after he abandoned the home in Carmel, Putnam County, over a $162,000 rent dispute.

ODB in had signed a contract with Roc-a-Fella Records, the label co-founded by Dash and Jay Z. He died in Manhattan of a drug overdose in 2004 at age 35.

Dash’s attorney did not return messages for comment.
