A man brutally beat his 94-year-old mother with a cane in their Brooklyn apartment Monday, leaving her in critical condition, law-enforcement sources said.
Mark Farrell, 64, allegedly attacked his mother, Dorothy, as slept on a couch at 1814 Burnett St. in Marine Park at about 6:30 a.m.
She suffered fractures to her head, face and ribs and was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition Monday night.
Mark Farrell was brought to to the 63rd Precinct Station House and was charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and assault.
