Aereo Chief Executive Chet Kanojia doesn’t give up easily.
Despite a Supreme Court ruling last week that found his digital antenna and cloud-based DVR service trampled the rights of broadcast TV networks, Kanojia on Tuesday urged subscribers to write their lawmakers about the matter.
“Contact your lawmakers and tell them how disappointing it is to you that the nation’s highest court has issued a decision that could take away your right to use a cloud-based antenna,” he said in the letter.
The Aereo founder also made it easy to comply with his request.
On its Web site, Aereo provided visitors with pre-written letters. All a person had to do is type in their ZIP code.
Once that’s done, the names of the customer’s representatives pop up, as do some Aereo-prepared messages about what to tell them: “The Supreme Court got it wrong…”
