‘Walking Dead’ season finale scares up 15.7M viewers

The fourth season finale of “The Walking Dead” Sunday night saw the group finally arrive at Terminus — and also scared up 15.7 million viewers, a record for a season-ender.

That audience fell short of the AMC drama’s all-time high of 16.1 million viewers who tuned in for the Season Four premiere last October.

“Walking Dead” also drew 10.2 million viewers in the advertiser-coveted under-50 demo, just short of the season premiere’s 10.4 million viewers.

Overall, Season Four averaged 13.3 million viewers and 8.6 million in the 18-49 demo, making it the drama’s most-watched season to date.

The strong finale powered the “Talking Dead” live aftershow — which featured series star Andrew Lincoln as a guest — to draw 7.3 million viewers and 4.7 million adults 18-49 on Sunday night, a series record.

Season Five of “The Walking Dead” will premiere on AMC this fall.
