Man stabbed to death near playground in front of children

A middle-aged man was savagely stabbed to death by an assailant in front of stunned children near an East Harlem playground, police sources said Friday.

The 41-year-old man got into a heated argument with the unidentified thug at 1:30 p.m. on East 124 Street and Madison Avenue just steps from Marcus Garvey Park, sources said.

During the war of words, the killer pulled a knife and plunged it into the victim’s neck. He then fled on foot.

It was unclear what the argument was about.

The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he later died.

Several kids who were in the area watched the horrific attack unfold.

A concerned parent, Sandra Rosario, 28, told The Post, “It’s kind of disgusting because [the criminals] don’t care…I bet if their little kid was in this park they would have a problem with it.”
