NFL’s nit-twit doesn’t ‘blame’ O.J., has crush on Katherine Webb

Darnell Dockett’s very active Twitter account went too far.

The Cardinals defensive lineman, with a lengthy history of offensive social media soundoffs, shared the following on Saturday night, before soon deleting it, according to Pro Football Zone:

“When you get married and s— don’t work out,” Dockett said. “She want 1/2 ‘HALF’ and see that’s where I have a issue.. I don’t blame OJ nevermind.”

Naturally, Dockett received several negative responses, bashing him for advocating Simpson’s alleged murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, in 1994. Dockett claimed that was not his intent.

“I deleted my last tweet because y’all would take what I said wrong and I don’t feel like explaining where I’m coming from.”

He added:

Simpson was found not guilty, in a circus trial starring an inept prosecution, then was found responsible for the deaths of his ex-wife and Ronald Goldman in a civil trial.

It’s not the first time Dockett’s tweets have become news.

Dockett tried to hit on Katherine Webb on Twitter when she was featured during the 2013 BCS title game featuring her boyfriend, AJ McCarron. He then got into a back-and-forth with McCarron after tweeting at him later that night. This year, when McCarron was eligible for the NFL Draft (eventually taken by the Bengals), Dockett suggested the Cardinals pick the Alabama quarterback, who is now engaged to Webb.
