Cristian MosqueraNew York City Police Department

Police have identified a man suspected of firing at cops during a wild pursuit in Queens early Saturday morning.

A sergeant and police officer on patrol in uniform and a marked police car happened upon gunman Cristian Mosquera, 20, as he ran after a man, firing his gun around 1:45 a.m., cops said.

The police jumped out of the car, near Lamont Avenue and Forley Street, and ordered the shooter to drop the weapon, officials said.

Instead, the gunman turned toward the cops and opened fire, according to the NYPD.

He missed and cops returned fire, also missing their mark, authorities said.

The suspect dropped a .22-caliber handgun as he fled, police said.

On Wednesday, police identified the suspect as Mosquera. He is 20-years-old, 5-foot-4 and 120 pounds.

The NYPD has offered a $12,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
