Queens

■ A mugger assaulted and robbed a teenager aboard a subway car in Flushing, police said.

The unidentified suspect accosted the 17-year-old, who was boarding a No. 7 train at the Main Street station Feb. 27 just after 3:30 p.m., according to police.

He snatched the victim’s iPhone out of his hand and punched him in the face before fleeing, cops said.

The teen was treated for minor injuries.


Manhattan

■ Two robbers stole $18,000 worth of sunglasses from a shop in the Meatpacking District on Monday, cops and a sales associate said.

The two men, in their late 20s, were at Solstice on Ninth Avenue near Jane Street and started filling a plastic bag with expensive sunglasses, the sales associate, Zach Spaulding, told The Post.

A total of 51 pairs of sunglasses were stolen, according to Spaulding.

“I was terrified,” the store employee said.

“They pulled all the glasses they wanted and put then in a plastic bag and into a backpack and said, ‘Don’t follow us.’ ”

Cops said one of the suspects was carrying a red-and-white backpack while the second suspect was described as wearing all black.


Brooklyn

■ A man was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head inside his burning Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment, cops said.

Qasim Mitchell, 24, was rushed to Woodhull Hospital, where he later died, after being discovered in the fire at the Stuyvesant Gardens Houseson on Gates Avenue Sunday at about 4:30 p.m., cops said.

Another man, 38, whose identity was not released, was found in the rear courtyard of the building with gunshots to his shoulder and torso, cops said.

He was taken to Kings County Hospital and was in stable condition, cops said.

The cause of the fire was unknown, cops said.

■ An NYPD officer was arrested for attacking his girlfriend in their East New York apartment Monday, cops said.

McKensie Jean-Francois, 26, got into an argument with his gal pal and choked her using a pillow, cops said.

He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing. It was unclear what sparked the dispute.

■ A crook snatched a cellphone from a subway rider in Bedford-Stuyvesant, cops said.

The 25-year-old woman was boarding a northbound C train at the Ralph Avenue station on Feb. 11 when a man came up to her and grabbed the phone.

The suspect ran up a stairwell and out of the station before police arrived, cops said.

He’s described as being in his late teens, approximately 5-foot-10, wearing a black bubble jacket with a white design and a black hat, according to police.

■ A burglar stole cash from two Bensonhurst homes and attempted to break into three other residences, cops said Monday.

The thief forced his way into two homes on 62nd Street near 18th Avenue between 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on March 22, cops said.

He made off with a total of $100, cops said.

He then tried, but failed to enter three nearby houses, police said.

Video surveillance released Monday showed the suspect (above) lurking between homes and peering into one camera before walking away.

He was seen wearing a blue backward slung baseball cap, blue jeans, and a black jacket.


Staten Island

■ Cops are hunting for a man who assaulted his girlfriend with a stove burner in a flea-bag hotel in New Dorp, cops said.

David Ruiz, 24, was living with his girlfriend in a single occupancy room on Midland Avenue near Boundary Avenue on Feb. 21 at noon when he grabbed the burner from the stove and hit the 22-year-old woman in the face, cops said.

The victim suffered a deep cut to the face but did not go to the hospital, cops said.

The suspect has a dragon tattoo on his arm, cops said.

It was unclear what set off the suspect.
