Four people were hurt this afternoon when a pilot boat and cargo container ship collided this afternoon near Sandy Hook, New Jersey.
A crewman on the pilot boat was seriously hurt in the 2 p.m. accident with the 984-foot container ship, and treated at the Sea View Hospital on Staten Island, according to the Coast Guard.
Three other crewmen suffered minor injuries, but did not need medical treatment.
The Coast Guard is investigating the circumstances that caused the crash.
