Man shoots rival in deli

A man pumped at least seven bullets into a rival, then pistol-whipped him in a Bronx bodega — all while coolly managing to not spill the open drink in his hand, video shows.

The polo-shirt-clad shooter and several pals were then seen calmly stepping over the shot man’s body before fleeing.

Neighborhood sources said “artistic differences’’ over an amateur rap video sparked the violence.

An aspiring rapper known as “Deep 100” is cutting the online video in hopes of getting the attention of rapper French Montana or members of his entourage, the sources said.

Law-enforcement sources said the 37-year-old victim had spat on the shooter moments before the bloodshed.

The gunman then fired several shots at close range at his rival inside the Webster Avenue deli at around 1:10 a.m. Saturday, police sources said.

With his victim wriggled on the ground, the brute — still holding his canned beverage — hit him four times with his pistol without spilling his drink.
He and his posse then fled.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition.

One witness referred to the dispute as “a chest-beating contest.”

A man who claimed to be friends with both men said, “They were both trying to get in the music game, but they just drank too much, you know?

“They had what you call ‘artistic differences,’ and, unfortunately, that’s how it was resolved.”

Others in the neighborhood are tired of the violence.

“You talk to the wrong person the wrong way on Webster, you’re done, it’s over for you,” one resident said.

“I guarantee one of five people walking around here know one of the guys involved in the shooting, but no one will say anything because they fear retaliation.”
