Steamroller stolen and driven off from construction site

A knucklehead walked into a construction lot in the Bronx, stole a steamroller and nonchalantly drove off – a theft that was captured on surveillance video cops released Friday.

The portly crook can be seen behind the wheel of the vehicle carefully steering his way toward an exit from the lot at 1283 East Gun Hill Road in Williamsbridge.

The theft took place at 11:25 a.m. on April 17 and police said Friday the steamroller has not been seen since.

Anyone with information on the theft should call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
